Windsurfing Instructor

Windsurfing Instructor jobs are available all at windsurfing centres, watersports centres and activity holiday centres and resorts both in the UK and worldwide. Most UK windsurfing jobs will be seasonal, running from March/April to September/October. Freelance jobs for Windsurf Instructors may also be available with UK centres that run weekend, evening or school holiday courses.

You will need an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Instructor qualification to find the best windsurfing jobs. There are 4 levels of windsuring instructor qualifications:

Start Windsurfing Instructor
Intermediate Windsuring Instructor (Non-Planing or Planing)
Advanced Windsuring Instructor
Senior Windsurfing Instructor

Eligibility criteria vary for each level. For example, to become an RYA Start Windsurinf Instructor you need to have a minimum age of 16 years, personal sailing ability of RYA level 3 or Intermediate Non Planing, valid 1st aid, powerboat level 2, and have observed for 8 hours on a level 1 course.
