Description

Gear up for next summer! We are looking for instructors that hold NGB qualifications in Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canoe, SUP, Archery, High-ropes, Indoor Climbing, Walking and Powerboating.

We are looking for enthusiastic and outgoing instructors to join our growing team to help deliver these exciting and educational activities for the 2021 season. Our centres are located across Exmoor, Devon and Cornwall.

Working as part of the activity team provides great opportunities to gain experience and training within the outdoor industry, whilst working as part of a friendly and professional team. Whether you’re looking for a cool summer job, or to progress within the industry, our experienced team of Chief Instructors will work with you to ensure that you have the skills, knowledge and support to succeed.

We offer pre-season training in a range of activities including powerboating, high ropes and raft building as well as support in gaining wider NGB qualifications e.g. RYA Dinghy Instructor or BC paddlesports leader.

We can offer:-

  • Access to NGB/In-house qualifications, training and professional development
  • Further development if you return for consecutive seasons-
  • On-site camping if you live outside a specified radius of the site
  • Free access to on-site activities equipment to use for personal development of skills
  • Pay scale to reflect your qualifications and instructor capabilities

Training will be provided in other activities, but previous experience in leading raft building, team building, and orienteering or similar will be an advantage.Contracts are 0 – 40 hours per week.  All contracts to include some evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Rates of pay are competitive for the industry and based on experience and qualifications, reduced rate camping is also available for anyone living outside of the region. The wider package of benefits includes free access to our equipment for your personal development and a discount across other South West Lakes products and services including our cafes.

Requirements

We are currently looking for qualified activity instructors (water and land based activities) at all levels to work the 2021 season, ideally holding 2 or more coaching qualifications in sailing, windsurfing, powerboating, kayaking, paddle boarding, high ropes (ERCA), indoor climbing, archery or mountain biking. Training will be provided in other activities, but previous experience in leading raft building, team building, and orienteering or similar will be an advantage.
