This post offers the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience. It requires someone with initiative, the ability to work unsupervised and can take responsibility for and lead projects.

Working as a trainee instructor, you'll get the opportunity to gain great experience across a wide range of outdoor activities and receive invaluable on the job training to enhance your career prospects. You'll need to show initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, making best efforts to maintain all centre equipment and develop new activities, as well as setting up equipment, instructing and leading groups when appropriate.

During the season, you'll be trained in the following courses:

* RYA Power boat Level 2 & RYA Safety Boat

* RYA L1 Windsurfing

* BCU 1* & 2* Kayak

* RYA Level 1&2 Sailing

* ERCA High Ropes Instructor* and more.

You will get the opportunity to follow your chosen watersport to instructor level.


* Leadership experience with young people and good communications skills.

* To use best endeavors to promote, develop and extend the centre’s interests and reputation and not do anything to its detriment.

* As an integral part of the staff team, a professional, committed and flexible approach to working hours is required.
