Description

We are seeking a motivated, skilled, organized and adaptable individual to supervise our Sales and Marketing communications and improve overall office efficency.  This key person will help take our fast growing travel company to the next level.

In this cross-functional position you will be part of a small team who implement our sales, plan marketing, advertising and PR activities, and focus on improving general administration efficiency.

You will work closely the directors in driving the growth of business, develop product & increase the brands awareness, ensuring that all communications are in line with the brands successful unique tone of voice.

Key responsibilities and tasks

  • Own and manage ongoing customer and competitor research to deliver valuable insights that inform strategy and tactics
  • Support the sales team, aiming to reply to any enquiries within the same day and succesfully convert into bookings
  • Help maximise sales and generate revenue by developing content for social media, our blog, website, e-newsletters, press releases, travel awards and any other marketing campaigns/materials
  • Continuously monitor and improve the customer offering and service from initial enquiry through to pre-travel information. Review customer questionnaires, chase up feedback and publish relevant reviews on line
  • Work with our website developers for regular monitoring and updating of the website content and the booking system to improve both front and back end experience
  • Work closely with the directors in driving the growth of business, develop product & increase the brands awareness, ensuring that all communications are in line with the brands successful unique tone of voice
  • Work with our PR agent to develop key areas and editorial to provide journalists and bloggers at the correct time of year
  • Work closely with sales and accounts to organise the after sales administration required with each booking to ensure the customer, supplier and management abroad have correct information in a timely manner
  • Other general admin roles

Requirements

Skills and Qualities

  • Be able to work both independently and part of a small team
  • Great attention to detail
  • Confident, articulate and clear communication skills with staff and customers
  • To have the ability to get on with people at all levels
  • Take responsibility for all decisions made related to the role
  • Flexible approach to working hours and weekend shifts

Technical Skills or Knowledge

  • Essential: Word/Excel , Email and Basic Adobe Photoshop/Image Editing
  • Essential: Excellent written English
  • Preferred: Experience working on a cool brand
  • Preferred: Web Analytics, Word Press CMS, Google AdWords Analytics
  • Up to date with how to best use Social Media: Instagram/Facebook and awareness of current/new trends

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essentail: Educated to A level or equivalent with very good level Maths and English
  • Desirable: Diploma or Degree in either: Business, Marketing, Sales, English
  • Desirable: To have previously worked overseas in the hospitality/leisure/travel industry or have some industry knowledge
  • Desirable: To have previously worked in a marketing or sales role withing the travel industry
