Flotilla Skippers

Description

Seafarer Holidays are seeking Yacht Skippers to lead their Flotillas in Greece, Turkey and Croatia.

You will lead groups of up to 12 client yachts, skippering one of our Lead yachts. Assisted by your crew, you will lead daily client briefings, covering all aspects of clients' holidays, including technical yacht briefings, safety matters, navigation, and cruise itineraries. You will assist clients with berthing and departing port and lead social events.

You will undertake day to day maintenance of all the yachts in your fleet as necessary and each weekend will work with the base manager and his staff to prepare the yachts for new clients.  This will include maintenance, cleaning, inventory checking and client check in/out.

You will also manage your budget and submit weekly management reports to Head Office.  

This is a diverse role involving close contact both with our guests and local suppliers.  You will need a "can do" attitude and an ability to think outside the box to solve issues.  As our senior representative at the base, you must be happy making decisions, leading and managing others and be confident in your ability to give our guests their best holiday ever.

Requirements

You must hold a RYA Yachtmaster certificate with Commercial Endorsement, and have a positive personality and plenty of energy.   You will ideally have previous sailing experience in the Mediterranean.

Your excellent social, leadership and management skills will be as important as your sailing ability, regardless of the industry sector in which they were gained.  Previous career experience dealing with the general public would be advantageous.
