Description

Super Camps are running multi activity day camps for children aged 4 – 14 years. As the leading provider in this field, our fun packed camps are located in over 60 schools nationwide each offering excellent facilities!

As a Sports Instructor you will be assigned to lead a variety of different sports activities; adapting your skills and experience to work with different age ranges throughout a season. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, description of responsibilities as follows:

  • Adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in your care continually have a positive camp experience
  • Plan and deliver activities with structure and enthusiasm; encouraging maximum participation  
  • As a Sports Instructor our aim would be to utilise you for your strengths and experiences a majority of the time you are working on camp. There will however be occasions when we ask you to assist in other areas, on these occasions we require flexibility and co-operation at all times.
  • You will also be required to support other Instructors in planning and running sport sessions 

Selection and Appointment process:

If your application form is short listed you will be contacted by our HR team who will speak to you further about your experiences. If selected, you will be required to complete an on-line test based on our online training programme. Following this you will be required to attend a Central Training Day (Based in Oxford, London or Birmingham). Finally before you start work you will need to attend your Site Specific Training and Set-up day (Located at school you will be working at – paid training day)
 
Pay: £251.15 per week for 18 to 20 year olds rising to £306.60 per week for 21 year olds and over (based on a 5 day week- Monday-Friday)(Part-time contracts also available)
 
Hours: 8am – 5.30pm / 8.30am – 6.00pm (Monday to Friday)
 
Temporary Contract (School holidays – part seasons considered)
 
Additionally…..
All sites require a Paediatric First Aid trained person. This individual will be appointed to take on this responsibility on top of one of our Instructor roles (an additional £25 per week will be paid if you take on this responsibility). If you are qualified please express this on your application form and verify the expiry date 
 
If you do not have a relevant First Aid qualification but would like to gain one, Super Camps run a number of 2 day Paediatric First Aid Training courses so please express your interest. (Super Camps will subsidise a majority of this, but you will not be paid the extra £25 per week whilst working for us)

Requirements

Requirements: 

Ideally qualified or studying towards a sports/coaching, and/or teaching/childcare qualification

  • Previous experience working with children
  • Previous sports coaching experience (ideally to children)
  • Enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills and good use of initiative
  • Flexible, team player willing to take on various tasks as required
