Powerboat Instructor

Description

We currently have a Powerboat Instructor position available for this summer for an ASAP/September start until November. 

Our Watersports Instructors provide professional instruction to all levels whilst ensuring a safe sailing environment. They all work as a team to offer a high level of customer service at all times.

In this fulfilling and exciting role you will be taking part in formal and informal instruction through structured dinghy and windsurf courses and weekly clinics for all ages ensuring that Guests get the most out of their courses. You will assist on weekly races and regattas.
 
You will also carry out beach duties, including rigging and de-rigging of boats and launch and recovery of boats maintaining safety of the guests and craft. Run effective rescue boat cover and carry out boat maintenance as directed.

You will be working as an Instructor teaching the RYA Dinghy Sailing syllabus and informal teaching. If you have your RYA Powerboat Instructors you will also be teaching both Powerboat Level 2 and Safety Boat courses to our clients and members of our Kid's Club and Watersports teams.

Requirements

• RYA Dinghy Instructors qualification
• RYA Powerboat Instructors - desired for one of the roles available
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Ability to work as a reliable member of the team
• Be highly motivated
• Competent swimmer
• Good communication skills oral and written
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid First Aid Certificate
