Description
This is a new position available for Sunsail at our Port Solent Base in the UK.
As Schools and UK Charter Sales Manager for Sunsail, you will be responsible for the sales and after-sales of worldwide sailing schools and UK Charter from our base in Port Solent, working with the UK Operations Manager and Chief Sailing Instructor ensuring we exceed customer expectation at all times.
In addition, the position will support overseas events including worldwide regatta’s and corporate events at overseas bases working with the Event team.
Key responsibilities:
- Dealing with customer enquiries by telephone and email from initial contact through to booking and after-sales care & pre course/charter notes
- Exceeding sales targets with overall responsibility for 2010 budget
- Identify new roots to market in conjunction with the Events Team
- Working as part of a team to ensure consistency of overall sales message for Worldwide schools & UK charter
- Work with the Events Team to assist in the set up of overseas corporate events
- Ensuring up-to-date product information online
- Maximizing sales opportunity by managing fleet utilization
- Sharing sales knowledge & supporting overseas sales team by conducting training sessions for all RYA & Sunsail courses available
- Pre-season Skipper Training as directed by Sales Director and Operations Manager
Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of RYA syllabus
- Knowledge and understanding of Solent “East & West” waters
- Passion for the RYA & Sunsail product
- Well-organised with ability to time-manage to maximize productivity & opportunity
- Self-motivated and ambitious – playing to win attitude
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent written and oral communications skills along with presentation skills
- Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
Due to the nature of the business, flexibility will be required. Attendance at exhibitions and boat shows will be necessary, which sometimes includes weekend working.
